Logan Paulsen turns to solid workout

Logan Paulsen turned in a solid workout today at the UCLA Pro Day workout. He was one of the top blocking tight ends in the draft according to a league source.

Per our source, the 6-foot-4, 265-pounder bench pressed 225 pounds 25 times and turned in an 8-11 broad jump. Paulsen caught all but one off-target pass. He ran in the 4.8 to 4.9 range in the 40-yard dash. Paulsen caught 71 career passes for 888 yards and one touchdown. Last season, the three-year starter caught 29 passes for 362 yards. The workout which was heavily attended due to the presence of blue-chip defensive tackle Brian Price, was attended by Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson and Carolina Panthers coach John Fox.

But I think he has the ability to have the NFL jersey.

Bears have three players to one-year deals

Three players will be offered the bears jerseys today. They signed three players to one-year contract.

Linebacker Tim Shaw, running back Kahlil Bell and defensive tackle Matt Toeaina were exclusive rights free agents. They got their business done in time for the beginning of the (voluntary) offseason conditioning program. Shaw made eight tackles on special teams in the Bears’ season finale at Detroit to give him a franchise record 30. It was a remarkable feat, especially considering he didn’t join the roster until Week 2 as the player who replaced Brian Urlacher’s spot on the roster.

Toeaina has spent the last three seasons with the Bears but has rarely been called upon.

Bears Louis troubled in assault charge

Offensive lineman Lance Louis with bears jersey has been sentenced to 40 hours of community service and anger management classes for an altercation that happened while he was playing at San Diego State.

Louis was also sentenced to three years of informal probation and a $565 fine as part of his plea deal with the office after pleading guilty Friday to misdemeanor assault. Authorities say Louis assaulted SDSU teammate Nick Sandford in a team meeting room last fall. Sandford suffered a concussion, broken eardrum and fractured cheekbone.

The Bears have said they were aware of the incident before they drafted Louis. He could be subject to discipline under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Joe Haden works for Browns

Players with NFL jerseys all know that the Browns are intrigued by University of Florida defensive back Joe Haden, the top-ranked cornerback.

It is said that he will be visiting the Browns, who hold the seventh overall pick of the first round, at their team headquarters in Berea. Shareef told the National Football Post in a telephone interview that he would really love it if they could get Joe there with the Browns and Eric Mangini and Mike Holmgren, and the Browns have shown a lot of interest in Joe.

Shareef said that Haden has several other workouts and visited scheduled with teams drafting in the top 15 selections.

Cardinal Rejoins Minnesota for the stretch run

After a long period of feigned interest in other teams Zydrunas Ilgauskas got his cavaliers jersey at last.

It’s been a month since the Timberwolves won a game, three weeks since they were even able to stay within a half-dozen points of an opponent. To an outsider, the idea of joining this freefall to the finish must seem akin to airlifting onto the Titanic.
To Brian Cardinal, it’s like coming home. "I’m excited to be back. We’re going through some growing pains right now, but I’m excited to be a part of it," the 10-year veteran said Tuesday after rejoining the team that traded him in February. "It’s fun to be back."

It's the Janitor can clean the tough job up.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas signs deal to return to Cavs

Zydrunas Ilgauskas' path is clear now. His agent called Cavs general manager Danny Ferry at 8:30 am. Monday. He is offered a cavaliers jersey at last.

Ilgauskas is back with the only team he has ever known. It took a little longer than expected-the deal was not announced until Tuesday afternoon. “If I would’ve left and the team won a championship without me,” he said, “I don’t think I could’ve ever forgave myself.” Ilgauskas signed to play for the rest of the season in Cavs and traveled with the Cavs to Orleans on Tuesday. Coach Mike Brown said he will likely play against the Hornets on Wednesday.

The guy was was overwhelmed by the support of Cavaliers fans who begged him to return once he became available.

Incognito' intensity

Not everyone love Richie Incognito with miami dolphins jersey. The newly-minted Miami offensive guard is fairly infamous.

He was voted the NFL’s dirtiest player by his peers in a Sporting News poll.Incognito was once fined $50,000 for head-butting opponents and drawing a pair of personal fouls. "There’s a fine line, especially when you play offensive line,’ Incognito told the Miami Herald. "You’re coached to play through the whistle, and I’ve always been toeing that line. Always over and back." Incognito was ultimately cut by the St. Louis Rams for arguing with coach Steve Spagnuolo.

If he can channel his temper and use it in an appropriate manner on the football field, then the Dolphins will be thrilled.

Willie likes Ram

Free-agent RB Willie Parker with steelers jersey thinks he might have a new home after being a guest of the Rams last week.

Douglas Hendrickson told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Willie enjoyed the visit, enjoyed the coaches and the people he met. Parker liked the possiblity of teaming up with Jackson in the backfield. The Rams need a backup for Jackson. The only question is, do they go the veteran route with Parker, or hope to land someone capable of handling a heavy complementary role in the draft. The problem is, with so many other positional needs, including quarterback, team officials will need to hope they can find type back in the later rounds.

Ilgauskas is back

Zydrunas Ilgauskas is going to wear his cavaliers jersey for another years. He is back for three days before he is eligible to re-sign with the Cavs.

Ilgauskas declined to comment to The Associated Press on Friday following a workout at a suburban gym. His agent, Herb Rudoy, told the AP in an e-mail that he will talk to Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry next week about returning the 7-foot-3 center to Cleveland. The first day he can re-sign is Monday.

“You’ll have to ask Danny Ferry,” coach Mike Brown said Friday night before the Cavs’ game at Chicago, when asked about Ilgauskas returning. “We’d certainly love to have him back, but he’s not on our roster.”

Calvin Johnson believes in Lions

Receiver Calvin Johnson with lions jersey believes in what he can’t see.

“You always have to have faith things are going to get better,” Johnson said Thursday. “You can’t get down and think things won’t get better or they definitely won’t.” Detroit won just two games last season after going winless the previous year, the first time that’s happened to any NFL team. The Lions won seven games in 2007 after making Johnson the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft.“Losing always gets to you,” Johnson acknowledged.

Despite being regarded as one of the game’s best receivers—especially when he caught 12 touchdown passes and had 1,300-plus yards receiving two years ago— Johnson hasn’t been invited to play in the Pro Bowl.

Anderson signs with Cardinals for 2 years

We all know that Derek Anderson with ardinals jersey was prepared as the backup quarterback to Matt Leinart with a chance to push for the starting job.

Anderson agreed to a two-year deal. Leinart had been the only quarterback on Arizona’s roster following the retirement of Kurt Warner. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said they have seen a tremendous amount of growth from Matt. He has worked hard but he was also excited about Derek and there will be competition at that position. That's not anyting different than what they have at other positions.

Whisenhunt said he got a text from Leinart on Wednesday saying he “knew there was going to be competition, but he was going to show he was ready to play.

Aaron Ross is ready

CB Aaron Ross with giants jersey missed all but four games last season with hamstring problems but he has been running and training daily with wife Sanya and he is ready fot the offseason.

"With guns blazing, I’m ready" Ross told the New York Daily News. "I’ve been running on the beach. The sand is a true test for the hamstring because your leg is sinking in the dirt. I feel like I’m 100 percent and ready to go again." Ross, a 2007 first-round pick, will battle Terrell Thomasin preseason to regain his starting job. Atlanta at New Jersey

Players with nets jersey may be on their way to setting the NBA record for futility.

That’s more than they can say about their two previous meetings with the Atlanta Hawks. Still hoping to make a run at the Southeast Division title, the Hawks would love to enjoy another rout of the Nets on Tuesday night in East Rutherford as they begin a stretch of five games in seven nights.

Atlanta (42-23) trails Orlando by 3 1/2 games in the Southeast but is only two behind the Magic in the loss column, leaving plenty of opportunity to make up ground over the season’s final month.

L.T. has good choice

It's no doubt that LaDainian Tomlinson will still wear NFL jersey to go along his career.

Tomlinson wants to play for a contender, and is willing to take on a complementary, third-down type role. It so happens the Vikings, after losing Chester Taylor, and the Jets, after releasing Thomas Jones, are in the market for such a veteran. Reports are that if Tomlinson doesn’t sign with Minnesota by late Thursday or early Friday, he’ll lean on landing with New York.

Both Jets and Vikings are ideal. The Jets are the league’s best rushing team and the Vikings are due to rebound after finishing only 13th in that category last season.

LeBron to play VS Sixers

LeBron James hopes to be back and wears the cavaliers jersey to lineup against the Sixers on Friday.

hey were just two of six players to miss practice Wednesday for the Cavaliers, who took advantage of a break in the schedule to rest all five of their regular starters. James missed two games after twisting his right ankle last Friday against Detroit, but is likely to play at Philadelphia, Cleveland coach Mike Brown said. James has played the sixth-most minutes in the league this season, averaging 39 per game. They want me to relax and let it calm down this week,” Jamison said. “It feels pretty good. It’s something that occurred earlier in the season. With proper treatment, it went away, so I don’t see this lingering any longer than it has the last couple of days.”

Broncos signed two players

Players with broncos jerseys are still beefing up their defensive line. Free agents Jamal Williams and Jarvis Green join in the team.

Williams, a 12-year veteran, injured an arm in last season's opener and missed the rest of the year. The 6-foot-3, 348-pound Williams will turn 34 next month and also has a histiry of knee injuries. Hw was released by the Chargers last Thursday before the free agency period began. Green is well versed in the 3-4 defensive alignment that coach Josh McDaniels implemented in Denver last year after being hired away from Bill Belichick's Patriots staff.

Green has 325 tackles and 28 sacks in 121 games since the Patriots drafted him in the fourth round.

James was rested again

Though LeBron James with cavaliers jersey believed himself was good, his team still do not want the superstar play again untill he's great.

James sat out his second consecutive game on Monday night against the San Antonio Spurs to rest a tender right ankle he twisted on Friday against Detroit. He missed Saturday’s game in Milwaukee and the Cavs, who don’t play again until Friday, are being extra cautious.

Cavaliers coach Mike Brown said in addition to having a bum ankle, James has some soreness in his back. However, it’s nothing he couldn’t play through, Brown said, and if this were the playoffs, James would be on the floor.

Alston's situation is unclear

Rafer Alston may say goodbye to his heat jersey. The relationship between the guy and the team is a doubt.

“Rafer Alston, while having made contact with the team via text message, has made himself otherwise unavailable to the team. As a result he has been suspended indefinitely,” the team said in a release.Alston could not be reached for comment. He did not immediately respond to an e-mail message. He played the first 6 minutes, 41 seconds of Miami’s win over Golden State on Tuesday, then appeared to be upset when removed from that game. Alston hasn’t played since, sitting out all of the Heat victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, telling reporters before that game that he had been removed from the starting lineup.

He has played in 25 games for the Heat since rejoining the club on Jan. 7, averaging 6.6 points and 2.9 assists.

Collison makes strong impression

Chris Paul was not with his hornets jersey but a suit these days.

“Right now,” Paul said, “I’m living through Darren Collison“Every time he makes a move, nine times out of 10 when he scores or makes a pass, I’m jumping up just like it’s me.” Collison has given Paul plenty of reason to cheer. While the Hornets will be pressed to make the playoffs – they entered Friday trailing the Portland Trail Blazers by five games for the Western Conference’s eighth and final seed – it’s been the play of Collison and fellow rookie guard Marcus Thornton that has kept them from completely falling out of the postseason hunt.

Collison said It was pretty much more of a learning experience than it is now at the beginning. He had to continue to work on his game

Bengles released Coles

Laveranues Coles took off his bengals jersey.

The Bengals released the 32-year-old receiver on Thursday, exactly one year after he signed a four-year deal to replace T.J. Houshmandzadeh. The Bengals also got rid of three tight ends, an indication of their top priorities in free agency and the draft. They desperately need to get someone who can catch the ball. The Bengles moved quickly after after Houshmandzadeh left for Seattle a year ago, eagerly pursuing Coles as his replacement. They signed him one week after he left the New York Jets, who decided not to give him a multiyear contract ectension.

Last month, they also signed receiver Matt Jones to a one-year deal.

Jets are not interested in Cromartie

Cornerback Antonio Cromartie with chargers jersey is on the trading block and being actively stopped with one prospective trade scenario with the Detroit Lions already being declared dead.

Now, the New York Jets can apparently be crossed off the list. According to the New York Daily News, there’s nothing to the rumor going around that the Jets are interested in trading for Cromartie. "Two sources tell me it ain’t so," Rich Cimini wrote on his Twitter account. "Chargers want him out of AFC." That makes sense.

No one would excited about adding a cornerback whose run support and toughness are in question.
