Arenas’ suspension

Christmas just passing, Gilbert Arenas was in the trouble. It was clear that he had stored unloaded guns in the Washington Wizards’ locker room.

Someone tried to suggest Arenas that he ought to be careful with his public words. Arenas dismissed the advice with a roll of the eyes and a cocksure insistence. ”I’m smarter than everyone else,” a witness heard him say, and no one needed to tell Arenas how to handle the public, the media, the storm closing fast on him. Finally, NBA commissioner David Arenas saved him from himself.

But agent Zero never believed that would be a big problem for him. Gilbert Arenas went away with his wizards jersey.

Favre is still fantacy at his 40

To celebrate last week’s victory, Brett Favre cocked his hat to the side.

His favorite greeting for unsuspecting teammates is a powerful slap on the backside that he has mischievously repeated countless times throughout the season. Oh, and he keeps peeling himself off the ground after each hard hit, his durability at age 40 still as sound as ever. Favre will become the oldest quarterback in NFL history to start a conference championship game in New Orleans on Sunday when the Vikings meet the Saints for a spot in the Super Bowl, but he’s sure not acting his age. “Brett’s amazing,” defensive end Jared Allen said. “He’s out there having fun and playing like he’s 20.”

All the players with vikings jerseys love Favre Brett.

Chris Johnson is unique

Chris Johnson get none votes for MVP. He really deserves the 2,000-yard rusher from the Tennessee Titans and Colts' QB Peyton Manning whon won a wonderful fourth Most Valuable Player Award last week also on the list.

Johnson said it's good because he felt like if one put a seaon out there who got votes or the dudes who won, he would not feel they had a better season than he had and broke as many records in one season that he had. He won 50 votes from a nationwide panel of sports writers. Colts coach Mike Singletary said he’s a guy who’s always going to be around the ball. He has the instincts. He has the speed. He can be where he wants to be. Ilike Johnson's No. 28 titans jersey.

Cowboys hope Barber will play VS. Vikes

Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips is confident that running back Marion Barber will do his best to surpass a knee injury and play in Sunday's NFC divisional playoff game at Minnesota.

"He's been mad at me the last two years because I didn't let him play in the preseason game there," Phillips said, chuckling. "So I know he wants to play there just from that." Barber has never played in his home state as a professional, but his knee injury hold him many times in last weekend's wild-card victory over the Philadelphia Eagles and forced him to miss practice Wednesday. It's upset that can't see him wearing the dallas cowboys jersey on the field.

Carroll enjoys his huge say

Pete Carroll has a huge thing to say about how to rebuild the Seatle Seahawks and how to coach the players wearing the seahawks jerseys.

Pete takes over the position as new coach and executive vice president Tuesday. And now he has the big auhority as the USC to refresh its dynasty. "They have embraced my approach ... in a manner in which they want to wipe the path clear and give me the clearest opportunity to bring everything that I have to offer," Carroll said of the Seahawks, one day after his public farewell from USC. "That's really what I was looking for, the trust and belief from the top of the organization.

The task of Pete at present is to make an agenda about how their football played.

Jets face big challenge

The New York Jets will meet their top opponent--San Diego, so they need to make a big plan for this big order.

Comparing with Chargers' advantage of height, the Jets have one defensive back— safety Kerry Rhodes—taller than 6-1. “It’s like playing a basketball team with the guys they’ve got out there,” the 6-3 Rhodes said Monday. “They’ve got guys that are going to get after it.” The excited game on Sunday will reveal how well the top pass defense included the gunslinging Philip Rivers. Rhodes said one of their strenghts will be going up against one of their strenghths as well.

It's really fun to watch the two teams how stack up against each other with their NFL jerseys.

NFL's top defensive rookie

We had to say Brian Cushing with his No.56 texans jersey was really a tackling robot for the Houston.

He did that from the first practice in training camp until the last game. That's exactly what the team sought when it chose the linebacker from USC 15th overall in the draft last April. What the Texans also got is The Associated Press 2009 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He was the second Texans linebacker in four seasons to win the award. "I'm just a much smarter football player," Cushing said. "I'm much more advanced than I was this time last year, and it was just a good way to start out a career. I'm happy about how everything turned out this year. Of course, the playoffs would have been nice, but now we know what we have to do for next season."

Niners WR Bruce faces his former team on the field

Wide receiver Isaac Bruce made a remarkable start in the San Francisco 49ers' season finale.

He got the first snap Sunday against the St. Louis Rams before the teammates and him hurry out the field. Bruce with No.88 49ers jersey was so active at his 37th for the first time in six weeks, offering him a chance to possibly conclude his NFL career in the city where he was a four-time Pro Bowl pick. Bruce said during the week there was a "75 percent" probability that he would retire after the season. He had caught the winning touchdown pass in the Rams' lone Super Bowl championship. He relaxed himself by untucking his jersey and removed tape after the play and watched on the sideline.

The fans still loved him and chanted his last name as he was in the Rams.
